So Cal hotspot, Cafe 86 is now open in Las Vegas! They have built a cult following in California serving up their infamous Ube desserts. Okay, cool….but WTF is “Ube?” Ube is a root vegetable similar to a yam that has a purple hue to it and many believe to have a taste similar to white chocolate.
They are currently operating in “soft opening” mode and their most famous desserts have been selling out daily (Ube leche flan cupcakes, Ube cheesecake, Ube butter bars etc.) When you go, you most definitely need to grab their “Churrochi” deep fried mochi bites covered in cinnamon sugar and served with ube ice cream.
