Friday Faves with @hei02miyachi

“It’s Friday. You ain’t got no job and you ain’t got nothin’ to do.” lol Welcome back to Friday Faves where we feature the city’s best foodies and their fav spots. This week we’re featuring @hei02miyachi (follow now) and she’s also apart of the foodie crew that runs one of the biggest foodie accounts in Vegas, @bestfoodlasvegas (which you most likely already follow). Here’s a look into her Friday Faves. Enjoy…..

“It’s not easy to pick just 5 favorites but these spots captured my heart (and tummy) for taste, value and quality all in an unsuspecting location!”

1. Tokyo Boys

“It may look like a diner outside but don’t fret! This is not your typical AYCE place! I’m a big fan of AYCE sushi/sashimi but I also appreciate authentic, quality restaurants like Tokyo Boys. Owner/Chef Hiro will show you the catch of the day and prepare it right before your eyes! They won’t even serve it if it’s not fresh! Moving sometimes, but don’t freak out! I can recommend pretty much everything on the menu but try their Tokujyo Chirashi Bowl, Tori Karaage & Kakuni!” 375 N Stephanie St #311, Henderson, NV 89014

2. CRAFTkitchen

“Chef Jaret & Tami Blinn left the 5 diamond world and created Craft Kitchen out of their passion for playing w/ food and desire to feed the community how they would want to be fed. I particularly love how the couple would tease w/ a sneak peak of their ever changing brunch menu! Brunch here is a must! You can almost always find me here enjoying a latte w/ a couple of fresh, made from scratch pastries or stuffing my face w/ the Quiche of the day, Short Rib Hash or this Grilled Shrimp & Cheesy Grits.” 10940 S Eastern Ave, Henderson, NV 89052

3. Arawan Thai Bistro

Arawan

“Don’t judge a book by its cover” is particularly true when you stumble upon this restaurant tucked in the sketchiest and scariest (for me) complex in town among legendary Lotus of Siam & Komol. Chef Jui & Chef Gail gives a refined and modern twist to Thai cuisine taking inspiration from their travels abroad. Here, you’ll find the prettiest Pad Thai elaborately plated, encased in an egg net and Crème Brulee under an intricate sugar dome and that is a fact! Don’t miss the Thai Lemongrass Chicken Wings, Squid Ink Drunken Noodles & Soft Shell Crab Pad Pong Karee and no matter how stuffed you are, better make room for dessert or two! You’re welcome.” 953 E Sahara Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89104
4. Ross J’s Aloha

“You know those days when you’re just craving simple and comforting meal away from the hustle & bustle of the strip? Ross J Aloha Grill is my little hideaway! Serving homesick locals huge ono-licious plates since 2007! It can be packed but that is a good sign, right?! The Spicy Chicken is my crack for $3.75! This HUGE combo bowl is $4.25!” 4650 E Sunset Rd, Henderson, NV 89014
5. Yonaka Modern Japanese

“Chef Ramir De Castro’s passion and attention to detail is impeccable! He can turn a simple salmon/yellowtail belly into a stunning masterpiece. Every visit is a tasting adventure and is always exceeded by the next. Try a little bit of everything, you will not be disappointed but here are some that you just can’t miss: Brussels Sprouts, Sake Orenji, Tea Brined Ribs, Meat Candy and Foie Gras Nigiri.” 4983 W Flamingo Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89103
