“This was very difficult by the way! I couldn’t decide who to deem my top 5 in Vegas. But these seemed to out stand most of the contenders. It’s an eclectic list which contains innovative eats, downtown hipster grub, hole-in-the-wall, best darn happy hour, and my ultimate go-to spot! In no particular order, here’s my list:”

1. DW Bistro

dw Bistro

“Two things on the menu that are out of this world, which I cannot live without and always seem to pull me in are: The Jamaican Curry Chicken & Jerk Seared Ahi with Pesto! Perfect anytime of the day, whether it’s Lunch, Dinner, or even Brunch. Wash it down with their signature Pomegranate Tea or my fave, The Blood Orange Martini. And don’t forget to save room for dessert! Carrot Or Chocolate cake, can’t go wrong! A definite go to local spot!” 6115 S Fort Apache Rd #112, Las Vegas, NV 89148 702.527.5200

2. Artisanal Foods Cafe

Burger artisanal

“Foiegettaboudit! My affinity for foie and truffles has exploded and taken off to astronomical levels! Artisanal is what foodgasm is all about! You use all the senses in your body to divulge into these original and one of a kind creations. Excuse my French, but my mouth hasn’t came so many times until trying their Foie Pancakes, Foie Burger, & Foie Truffle Fries! Did I mention there’s Foie in everything?!? I’m salivating right now looking at these pictures! ???” 2053 E Pama Ln, Las Vegas, NV 89119 702.436.4252

3. Eat DTLV

“With the invasion of the hipsters and help from The Downtown Project (What up, Tony!!), there’s a whole new meaning to DTLV! One must eat at Eat to validate that meaning. Shrimp & Grits and the devilish Pancakes are my choices here! Natalie and her team do a phenomenal job executing in this hidden gem! I always take my visitors from out of town here when I want them to experience DTLV eats!” 707 Carson Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89101 702.534.1515

4. Hearthstone

hearthstone eggs

“Local Casino with a killer restaurant! Not only is Red Rock my favorite Station Casino, Hearthstone is my spot for Happy Hour. The pimento Deviled Eggs are to die for goodness sake! I have never tried pimento cheese with the standard deviled eggs until here! And it’s safe to say, the combination is magical! They also have the tastiest pizzas and patio friendly for weekend brunch menu! Don’t forget the bottomless mimosas!”11011 W Charleston Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89135 702.797.7344

5. Thai Food to Go

Thai food to go

“Don’t judge the book by its cover! This is the true definition of hole-in-the-wall. But don’t be fooled, because I can honestly say, and I’ve been to so many Thai restaurant across the US, and this by far is the best Thai restaurant I have ever been to. Period. No frills here, strictly good ole Thai food, the kind you get from your parents if you were Thai! Fried Chicken over fried Rice, Eggplant with Tofu, Pad See Ew, I could go on and on! I’ve probably tried everything on the menu. And it’s dirt cheap, too!” 3242 E Desert Inn Rd #9, Las Vegas, NV 89121 702.778.8898
