Bomb Local Burgers in Vegas

Nothing screams “American” like a big fat juicy burger.

The hamburger has become a culinary icon within the United States. Kids grow up loving them and adults constantly crave them. How can a handful of ground beef between two slices of bread be so darned good? Eateries are coming up with new creations and renditions of the American classic from using fried eggs, bacon, crazy concocted spreads, aged cheeses and wild toppings. According to the locals, here are a few amazing UNLOKT local hot-spots that serve up some bomb burgers.

Imperial Wagyu Burger ($17) at Honey Salt

Honey Salt is making a serious impact in the local dining scene and for very good reason. Chef Kim and Elizabeth Blau do one thing extremely well, and that is making people leave their restaurant with a smile on their faces. And how could you not leave with a smile after eating one of their hand-crafted Wagyu burgers? This burger is made with some serious love. It’s  a Wagyu patty cooked to perfection with bacon jam and beehive cheddar. Get it “Kim’s Style” with a fresh fried egg. I’d order one to eat there and one to take home. Trust. 1031 S Rampart Blvd, 445-6100

New Mexican- Style Green Chili Cheeseburger ($12) at DW Bistro

If you love burgers, than you already know about this masterpiece. This burger is always in the conversation as one of the BEST burgers Las Vegas has to offer. Period. This burger isn’t your ordinary ketchup and mustard type of burger. This lovely thing packs some serious flavor with the right amount of heat. A burger seasoned with New Mexican and Jerk spices topped with pepper jack cheese, thick-cut jalapeno bacon, New Mexican green chilies, heirloom tomato, & a sweet and tangy aioli spread all between two perfectly toasted buns. You will fall in love with this burger over and over again. 6115 S Fort Apache Rd, 527-5200

Triple Angus Burger ($13) at The View Wine Bar & Kitchen

This may be the burger everyone’s been waiting for. A perfectly cooked 8oz. triple Angus beef patty seasoned to perfection. This burger is served up with artisanal aged cheddar that melts perfectly with the sizzling beef, tomato jam spread, balsamic onions, & shredded lettuce. You can also add additional toppings such as a fried egg, pork belly, bacon, caramelized onions and a few others. All atop a perfectly baked fresh bun with a hint of sweetness. If there was ever a burger to be named “KING” – this burger would definitely be worthy. 420 S Rampart Blvd Ste 150, 280-7390

Banh-Mi Burger ($9) at Bachi Burger

Every single burger that Bachi features is truly a work of art. Bachi Burger serves up killer American burgers with an Asian twist and island influences. They are some of the most flavorable creations you will ever find. The “Banh-Mi” burger is one of their signature burgers with a patty made of Angus beef, pork and shrimp, topped with a thin slice of grilled pork pâté, crisp lettuce and hints of lemongrass, herbs and curry aioli. The buns at Bachi add to their already insanely good burgers, making them even more addicting. Their buns are freshly baked with the right amount of sweetness. Pickled slivers of carrot and daikon radish come on the side with fresh jalapeno slices and a shallow bowl of nuoc mam, an intensely sweet sauce with a marmalade tang and an undercurrent of garlic. This burger is the real deal. Big. Beautiful. Bold. Bright. 470 E Windmill Ln #100, 242-2244

Cheeseburger Benedict ($10.50) at SKINNYFATS

If you’ve never been to SKINNYFATS, then you’ve definitely been hiding under a rock. The burger grilled up here is probably one of the most consistent in the city. It’s perfect every time you eat it. Seriously. This is an American cheeseburger with a little flair. This baby features 1/2 lb. of quality Angus beef grilled to your liking with shredded lettuce, tomato, crisp pickles, melted cheddar, red onion, SkinnyFat sauce, avocado, & a FRIED EGG! Is your mouth watering yet? Good. 6261 Dean Martin Drive, 979-9797
