Joining the Juice Cult

If you hadn’t noticed, “juicing” is the hottest trend in healthy-living at the moment. Everyone from celebrities to soccer moms are indulging in blended and cold-pressed concoctions of vegetables and fruits and other ingredients to get their quick health fix. This wild fire spreading trend has finally reached Vegas and it looks like it’s here to stay. Here are a handful of awesome local spots serving your every need when it comes to drinking your greens and fruits, because let’s face it, eating your veggies is soooo last summer.

The Juice Standard

The Juice Standard features cold-pressed juices and cleanses to satisfy any level of “juicer” out there from the newbs to the experienced juice warriors that crave wild ingredients like garlic and dandelion in their liquid lunches. Signature juices include the “WHeathy” (cucumber, celery, romaine, kale, apple, dandelion, parsley, lemon, ginger, tumeric), “Energized” (cucumber, carrot, apple, beet, lemon), and “Excellent” (filtered water, coconut water, raw cashew, spirulina, agave, vanilla bean) among many others colorful creations. The Juice Standard has single juices ready to be picked up or you can try a one day cleanse or get a little wild with a three day cleanse. You’ll be glowing just after one sip. 4555 S Fort Apache Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89147 702.476.9800

Echo & Rig

Wait, what? Isn’t Echo & Rig a butcher and steakhouse? Yes, yes it is and it presses up some seriously tasteful and healthy juices. You can order these beauties with your meal or walk in and grab one to go after your morning jog (for all you Summerlin living peeps). Try the “Greens” (spinach, kale, parsley, cucumber, ginger) or the “Wellness” (pineapple, carrots, orange, ginger). These pressed juices are sure to quench your deepest thirst and cravings for something fresh and healthy. While you’re there, grab a perfectly cut piece of meat to take home. 440 S Rampart Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89145 702.570.7400

Oh, SkinnyFATS. How I love thee. I’m still yet to have a bad meal at this local gem (and I probably never will). Amongst all the kick-ass menu items here, they also serve up some killer health-nut approved cold-pressed juices to jump start your day or cure that skull-crushing hangover from popping bottles “In da’ Cluuub” (50 Cent reference) the night before. Be sure to snag the “Mr. Green” (I see you, Josh!!) (spinach, parsley, kale, romaine, celery, cucumber & apple) or the “Hangover Remedy” (carrots, celery, beets, ginger, spinach, cucumber & apple). The other signature juices are the “Beet It” (carrots, beets, apples, ginger, and basil.) “Summer Quench” (cucumber, celery, lemon, apple) and if you’re feeling sicky, the “Liquid Defense” (orange, lemon, lime, basil, carrot, and apple.) Is there anything SkinnyFATS can’t do? I don’t know, but I’m yet to see it. 6261 Dean Martin Dr #29, Las Vegas, NV 89118 702.979.9797

Juice “n” Go

unnamed (10)

Juice “n” Go does indeed feature fresh juices, but the real showcase is their Acai and Pitaya bowls. These are the perfect healthy summer-time treat to beat the heat without bursting your belt. Acai and Pitaya are the super foods from the Amazon with tons of healthful benefits and anti-oxidants. The bowls are made with blended Acai or Pitaya and then topped with your pick of fresh fruits like strawberries, blueberries, mangos,  banana, honey, granola, honey, and shaved coconut. This spot has been one of my favorites to stop by and grab a quick bowl on the go and I’m energized for the entire day. You can even create your own bowls and add vegetables such as blended spinach to give you that extra added green goodness and vitamins. 1735 S Rainbow Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89146 702.242.5842
